Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked chicken shredded
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes optional
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large pot over medium heat
  2. Sauté onion and garlic until soft and fragrant
  3. Add chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer
  4. Stir in shredded chicken and Italian seasoning
  5. Add heavy cream and cream cheese and mix until smooth
  6. Simmer for 10-12 minutes until slightly thickened
  7. Stir in parmesan cheese until fully melted and creamy
  8. Season with salt pepper and chili flakes
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for quick preparation
  • Add spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrients
  • Adjust thickness by adding more broth or cream
  • Best served fresh, but can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days
