Ingredients
  

  • 6 chicken thighs boneless or bone-in
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a bowl mix honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, sesame oil, black pepper, salt, and chili flakes.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and coat them well.
  3. Let the chicken marinate for at least 20 minutes or longer for deeper flavor.
  4. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium heat.
  5. Place the chicken thighs on the grill.
  6. Cook for about 6–7 minutes on one side until nicely charred.
  7. Flip the chicken and brush with extra marinade.
  8. Grill for another 6–7 minutes until fully cooked and caramelized.
  9. Remove from the grill and let the chicken rest for a few minutes.
  10. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

  • Marinate the chicken longer for a stronger flavor.
  • Use a grill pan if an outdoor grill is not available.
  • Brush extra marinade during grilling for a stickier glaze.
  • Serve with steamed rice, noodles, or fresh salad.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
