In a bowl, combine warm milk, honey, and yeast and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add melted butter, rolled oats, and salt.
Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
Knead dough for about 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place dough in a greased bowl and cover.
Let rise for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
Punch down dough and shape into a loaf.
Place loaf in a greased bread pan.
Cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Brush loaf with beaten egg if using.
Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown.
