Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
Place the chicken thighs on the prepared baking sheet skin side up.
Drizzle olive oil over the chicken.
Season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Bake for 25 minutes until the chicken begins to cook through.
In a small bowl mix BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar.
Brush the BBQ sauce mixture generously over the chicken thighs.
Return the chicken to the oven and bake for another 10–15 minutes until the sauce is caramelized and the chicken is fully cooked.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
