Ingredients
  

  • 2 –3 lbs 1–1.5 kg beef chuck roast
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice

Method
 

  1. Place beef in the slow cooker
  2. Add beef broth, olive oil, garlic, and all spices
  3. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4–5 hours
  4. Shred beef using two forks
  5. Mix shredded beef with cooking juices
  6. Stir in lime juice before serving
  7. Serve warm and enjoy

  • Sear the beef before slow cooking for deeper flavor
  • Adjust spice level to your taste
