Keto Cheesy Taco Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup sugar-free tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes optional
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onion and garlic until soft
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned
  4. Stir in taco seasoning paprika cumin salt pepper and tomato sauce
  5. Add cream cheese and mix until smooth and creamy
  6. Stir in bell peppers if using and simmer for 5 minutes
  7. Transfer mixture to a baking dish
  8. Top with cheddar and mozzarella cheese
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden
  10. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot

Notes

  • Add jalapeños for extra heat and flavor
  • Use ground turkey for a lighter version
  • Serve with lettuce wraps or cauliflower rice
  • Best enjoyed fresh, but stores well in the fridge for up to 3 days
