Ingredients
  

  • 12 large mushrooms stems removed
  • 300 g ground beef
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat
  3. Cook ground beef until browned
  4. Add onion and garlic and sauté until fragrant
  5. Stir in cream cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper
  6. Remove from heat and mix in half of the shredded cheese
  7. Fill mushroom caps with the beef mixture
  8. Top with remaining cheese
  9. Bake for 18–20 minutes until mushrooms are tender and cheese is melted
  10. Serve warm and enjoy

Notes

  • Choose large mushrooms for easier stuffing
  • Do not overbake to avoid soggy mushrooms
  • Add herbs for extra flavor
  • Great as a party appetizer or snack
  • Best served hot
