Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rub chicken with olive oil, paprika, thyme, salt, and black pepper.
- Place chicken in a baking dish and dot with butter.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes until the chicken is golden and cooked through.
- Remove chicken and keep warm while preparing the gravy.
- Pour pan drippings into a skillet over medium heat.
- Stir in flour and cook for about 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth.
- Simmer until the gravy thickens.
- Serve the baked chicken with warm pan gravy on top.
