Ingredients
  

  • 2 ripe bananas mashed
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup melted butter or oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a loaf pan
  2. In a bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla
  3. Add flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt and mix well
  4. Fold in chocolate chips
  5. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean
  7. Let cool before slicing

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas for the best sweetness
  • Do not overmix the batter to keep loaf soft
  • Add walnuts for extra crunch
  • Store in an airtight container for freshness
  • Best served slightly warm
